Images of Kota Tua--Old Dutch Jakarta

Had a few days off for Eid, so I spent them at a hotel in Kota Tua, the colonial stronghold of Dutch Indonesia. Jakarta was called Batavia until the Dutch were expelled when Indonesia gained its Independence in the late 1940s. On my first day, I just wandered around, enjoying the colonial Dutch architecture, much of it from the 19th Century.  It was like traveling through a bizarre old tropical version of the Netherlands.
